The Adventures of Ensign Friend, Part 3: The Spiritual Side of Soap Scum

Previously, it was my genuine pleasure to introduce you to the moon Mora and the fantastic creatures that live on it. Chief among these, of course, is the intelligent creature on the planet: a floating, iron-eating bacterial colony that has achieved the critical mass necessary for sentience. Laugh, will you?

The Adventures of Ensign Friend, Part 2: Scanning for Lifeforms...

I’m with Lieutenant Commander Data: I love scanning for lifeforms!

In our previous report, the intrepid worldbuilding panel at Chicon 7 discovered a moon named Mora orbiting a gas giant named Lessa, which in turn is orbiting a red dwarf star that looks like a giant eye of Sauron. This time, the panel explores what kinds of fantastic life could form in this hostile environment.

The Adventures of Ensign Friend, Part 1 (Worldcon 2012 Report)

Our managing editor of Emerald Sky magazine went to Chicago this month to participate in the 70th World Science Fiction Convention. At the first of a six-part Worldbuilding panel series, he got more than he bargained for...

Interview with Brett Peterson

Brett Peterson, our company founder, attended CONduit 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 25th and 26th, 2012. While there, the friendly folks of UGeek Media  asked him to have a brief interview about the purpose of the company, its guiding philosophy, and some details about the types of work we promote. Unfortunately, the interview went a little long, and even with UGeek Media's excellent editing, you may wish to cut to the chase at 7:48.

Enjoy!
